More Innovator Info
The Innovator as I first saw it.

And then it got better...this is how we did it!!!
First we gutted the interior

Then built in a new one

Next was the repower- Cummins 6 BTA 5.9 - 300 HP

Then came a month in the yard with a huge work list

But under all the grease & grime...I loved the look, feel and potential

It got stripped & restriped

"Black holes" cleaned out

It was a big job!

After a month it was all starting to come together

Back to the water & more work

Fist sea test 30kts...WOW!!!

But still more work!!

Me, Jim Jenks- Founder of OP clothing & designer/builder of the Innovators...he loved the progress

A long list of new new equioment topped by a Furuno Nav Net with 48 mile color radar & VHF

My boat partner Matt...checking up forward

Almost done - we even have a custom engraved chain locker door

We've got antennas
New window inside
New window outside
With the new 4 blades...smooth and fast !!!

port engine hatch rehinged & the new panel fills the holes from the old vents
One of several fire extinguishers put into place

The support for the upper crew bunk through bolted into place
New salon door officially installed & checked off the list. New head door not shown

Head: We've done a huge amount of work including a custom teak framed mirror, new faucet with shower attachment, teak holder for sanitizer, new quiet flush marine toilet (not shown

The final touch for the overhead console with a custom mount to hold my
I-Pod ...all my favorite songs...no problem.

Today, the "Pacific Edge" 31' Innovator is complete, ready to fish and needs a new home!!!
